What weapons should i go for?

I've got a ranger who's just killed plantera but most of my weapons are obsolete at this point in the game. Im wearing shroomite armor with the bullet helmet but have enough bars to change if it's not recommended. I have the daedlus stormbow which doesn't work underground and it's damage isn't amazing anymore, the clockwork assault rifle which doesn't have enough damage at this point in the game, the megashark which is currently my main weapon, the onyx blaster which once again doesn't do enough at this point and the grenade launcher which is my best weapon. what weapons/ammo should i use for golem? and which shroomite helmet should i be using? (also some accessory recommendations would help as mine aren't the strongest)

You could head in to the dungeon and try for a sniper rifle. Some other options are weapons like the Elf Melter or the Chain Gun, but that's only from Frost Moons. If you have a Venus Magnum, those can pretty useful as well. Your best option is either to go to the dungeon for a sniper rifle or a Frost Moon.

I've already tried frost moon but my weapons couldn't make it to a wave where santa nk1 spawns. I'll start farming the dungeon and keep an eye on my jungle arena to see if any plantera bulbs spawn for venus magnum. any accessory/ammo suggestions?

yeah i said i've recently killed plantera and am gearing up for golem and the endgame

Pretty decent, yeah. I recommend chlorophyte bullets when going after single targets.

oh wow u weren't kidding, i just got a sniper rifle and it's killing bone-lees in 2 shots, it's 1-shotting enemies that used to kill me. what ammo is gonna bring out it#'s full potential?
