Thorium is highly popular and a great mod to get started with, since it adds alot of content, obviously, but unlike calamity the skill cap isnt so high.
Calamity is the largest mod for terraria 1.3 atm, with 24 new bosses versus thorium's 10.
Tremor "attempts" to add a new class, the alchemist, I sadly dont know much about it because the wiki is unfinished.
Thorium adds two new classes,
The Healer, a class with the focus of using staves to buff their allies and heal them, too.
The Bard is a class that uses music based weapons to damage enemies, and buffing their allies with varius items.
Sadly neither class has enough endgame content to keep up with Calamity.
Calamity adds thousands of new items, but be prepared to farm for them.
I suggest Thorium first, and then Calamity, but I usually play with both of them since it adds alot of content to explore.
I personally wouldn't go for Tremor, especially not on its own.
Calamity is unbalanced garbage, don't play it
Thorium legit just feels like Terraria DLC. It's balanced extremely well and adds two new classes!
You should also add on some Quality of Life mods, like Fargo and imkSushi, just to make your run more convienient.
What other Quality of Life mods?
