Any tips for 1.4 Martian Saucer?

This boss was nightmare even before 1.4 and now it feels like beating it is... almost impossible. It's literally just wait out the death timer so you can go back to working on that wave %completed meter.

i had an idea that im not sure will work, i saw that if you hide, the lazer only goes down to where the character is when it fires, so if you set up a teleporter, when you click the button or pressure plate, you could be able to dodge it again

Saucer aim for a spot that is ahead of you, and deathbeam toward you from there. Simply change the direction you move each time it is moving to use deathbeam and you will outrun it each time. Taking fight to the skies with decent wings and soaring insignia will make it much easier.

It has a pretty simple pattern:
Lasers > missiles > deathray > repeat.

The lasers will only target the position you're in from when it just starts the attack. So once it starts firing, just move anywhere else.

Missiles can be avoided either by circling around the saucer or running away and letting them all explode before returning back.

The deathray is the easiest to avoid. Just don't be underneath the saucer when it starts chasing you after firing missiles.

When the saucer enrages, it will start rapidly chasing you down and firing deathrays.
You can avoid this by just having enough speed to either run away from it or run back-and-fourth between its attacks.
A fast mount or an accessory that allows you to dash is extremely helpful here.

I sometimes wonder how people can struggle with such things.
There are difficult bosses in terraria, with difficult patterns or attacks. Like EoL for beginners or Fishron.
But this is like, an absolute pushover.
Has 3 attacks.
1. Rockets go bwshh, fly under it.
2. lasers to pew-pew go above him.
3. Deathray go bzzzz, go left and right.

martian madness is not easy with enemies shooting you from below for over 150 dmg, and then having to dodge homing rockets when your wings are failing you. oh wait, you've beaten empress of light already with a megashark, in daytime, without tracks, meaning you have infinite flight. sorry, your majesty

strafe and speed.

lock on and auto aim items are a must so things like duke fishron items are a must before you start or an AoE item(s) like magic or explosives/rockets

for the martian saucers just keep flying up higher than them. During their second phase have a rod of discord handy incase you ♥♥♥♥ up the side it's going towards. Just stand still and wait for it to go towards you then run in the opposite direction. Stop when it's gonna dash to the other side and go the opposite side. Rinse and repeat until it's ded.

What do you do when the EoL hits you twice in 29 seconds? Guess you'll die.

I simply don't get hit, cause I am a master, a miracle, a wonderchild at the game.

I'm simply the best, like no one ever was, cause to beat them is my real test, to humiliate them is my cause.
I will master any boss, with any equip far and wide, and each invasion with ease, and the minibosses that are inside.
