However, in Hardmode, when the Dryad is in the Graveyard biome she sells the seeds of the world evil opposite of the current world evil (i.e. Corrupt Seeds in a Crimson world and Crimson Seeds in a Corrupt world). This means the player can create an artificial Corrupt biome in a Crimson world and therefore allow Devourers to spawn and drop Worm Teeth.
This is more or less unrelated to OPs concern.
They spawn in hardmode, the seeds are only there to enable the potion for Crimson users.

Well, by testing it actually. I tried getting some in a Master post hardmode world without success. I haven't tried for like 2 hours straight, mind you, but it became obvious that they either do not spawn or are so rare that this is about the equivalent.
