don't play master mode then, no need to complain
The thing is, you expected something different. That one is on you. Your expectation ruined it, not the mode itself.
If you do not enjoy it, don't play it. Stick to expert mode.
Noone promised you anything about a master mode that wasn't true in the end, so I don't see why you assume you should've gotten something else.
Also git gud.
I hardly doubt you or anyone else is so good that he dodges every single mob and attack. You might be good at it, but you will do a mistake and master mode will punish you.
Also, since everyone ignores it, or deliberately doesn't say it, master mode tweaked some AI by making mobs and bosses more aggressive, so no, master mode is not only 50% more TTK.
-how do you dodge worms underground?
-how do dodge an enemy meanwhile you are fighting a boss?, even that enemy does more damage than the boss
-how can you take pillars down?
-how you fight againts the bone zone in FTW world mastermode and even postplantera?
-how is possible that a slime still do high amount of damage with full solar armor?
-how you dodge bullets from pirates?
-how you dodge or look an small enemy like that clown bomb and i am talking about the bomb that has feet
because you cheese something doesnt mean you are master, mean you are doing the same thing over and over again, in the begining enemies one hits you, enemies that you cant defend yourself because you cant do the enough damage to protect you, tell me, you have fun in dessert master mode and even more in a FTW world?, no, because the mode doesnt feel fun, and like a wise man said, "if it is not fun, why worry?.
also sure it only make fighting more tedious (for veteran) but still an increase to challenge
The hardest parts of Master Mode is the mechanical trio & Moon Lord.
How do I dodge worms? Well, I hear them. I get to a more open area ASAP so I can attack it and dodge it.
How do I dodge an enemy when I fight a boss? By using W, A, S, D and the Spacebar and killing the enemy.
How do I take pillars down? by having good equipment, knowing the enemies and knowing what I do. Also using Spectre armor.
I fight skeletons by being good, being prepared and having my dungeon prepared in pre-hardmode, by making it convenient for me. by having good gear and knowing what to do.
Slimes receive a huge buff when you enter hardmode or fight certain bosses, so they do not become useless low-♥♥♥♥ enemies by the end of the game. It is intended to keep them dangerous. Also Solar armor is just meh.
How do I dodge bullets? By not dodging them. By preparing a proper arena and simply kill then through walls. I have not died to a single pirate invasion in master mode or FTW.
How do I dodge the clown summons? By seeing them, seeing where they move and not moving there.
If you cheese something, it means you've mastered not only the boss, but any other aspect of the game. Means you actually know what you do, not that you do it over and over again.
I never had issues killing enemies fast, not even in pre-hardmode, because I know how to get powerful gear fast.
And yes. I do have fun with those. When 1.4 rolled in I created a master mode world with a fresh character. I never ever played expert mode. I had insane fun with it, because you actually feel the achievements you make. When you finally kill the boss you spent the entire night fighting against and dying over and over. When you finally get the item you grinded for and died 10 times over to get it.
And I steamrolled master mode. I killed Duke Fishron before I killed Plantera. I killed every single boss, including Empress of Light day mode with any class setup you can have. Melee-oriented, ranger, mage and a mixed summoner.
I had a lot of fun.
And now I play master mode. And all my strategies I used to cheese bosses do not work anymore. I can't outtank or outheal what I did in master mode, so I need to do different strategies to fight the bosses who are harder. That is fun to me. It takes a bit to achieve something. I just did beat Plantera and am in the process of getting all drops I want from the Dungeon, to fight EoL and Duke Fishron. I need to strategize on how to beat them more easily, and that is fun.
Gitting gud is fun.
Do not blame the game if you simply can't find fun in the game. A wise man, well, it was me, said once: "If the game does not motivate you by gameplay, do not play it. Play something else."
Your comment simply wakes the assumption that you never really tried to achieve something in MM/FTW, died a few times, maybe cheated gear in. It feels like you want to say you beaten them, but you lack basic knowledge any relatively good Terraria player has about the game, so my asumption is that you should git gud.
