Seafood dinner is overpowered.
It's extremely easy to make with all the useless fish you get, and gives you the best food buff of the whole game.
Oh and for clarification, probably should've stated this at the start, my suggestion is just to lower the buff to plenty satisfied.

Your "suggestion" should be aimed towards https://twitter.com/relogicgames?lang=en because it's unlikely that the developers visit neither steam or the Terraria forums themselves. It's also unlikely that they'll notice your post there either, as they get thousands. If you personally feel so strongly about this, then a more appropriate course of action is to simply not use the food or play with those that do.
Lol I forgot the Terraria forums had their own page for suggestions, probably gonna delete this thread.

You get this food item by fishing for ingridients. It requires 2 to craft per meal to and it has the second shortest duration of all the food items. (only 4 minutes that's almost as short as a average buff potion)

Yet you want to nerf it even further?
Might aswell nerf all the buff potions cause they are pretty OP too and can be easily crafted with plant farms and fishing..

Just buy Pigronatas from the Party Girl for easy bacon, which gives the same buff for 6 times the duration. You can get 1 full stack of bacon for an average of 9 stacks of Pigronatas, with next to no total cost if you sell everything else that drops from them, and it takes maybe 2-4 minutes total if you use the grapple trick to break them quickly.

Aye, if anything Bacon is OP ^^

Not really because you do need to invest a lot of money up front in order to buy the Pigronatas, which cost 1 gold each and 99 for a full stack. Even if you do recoup the cost from breaking them, most players aren't going to have that kind of money in the first place until endgame.

You are kidding right?
You can easily farm couple plat worth of money before even entering Hardmode from Queen Bee drops alone.

That's how i've been always farming to already be able to buy Leaf Wings (before the nerf) at very start of hardmode and still have money left for some reforges or other purchases.

In Hardmode its even easier since you have access Pirate invasions at the very start then later Golem and Pumpkin Moon.

You can get stinkin rich way before "endgame".
untill the greedy Goblin takes it all away that is..

You have to farm for those, obviously if you want you can farm a theoretically infinite amount of money off of slimes and zombies but most players are not going to do that. Most players will finish a playthrough with around 10 plat, and it costs 9 to buy 9 stacks of Pigronatas. 8 if your Party Girl is reasonably happy. I guess you can do it a couple stacks at a time but even then you'll have to be fairly late in the game just to do that, because of how money drops tend to increase exponentially.

Wel DUH you have to farm for it...
The point is it takes really not that much effort to get 10 plat easily before hardmode. Its basically nothing.

And it gets even more trivial during hardmode as stuff that drops from enemies, invasions , bosses gets more expensive.

10-15 plat is how much you can get from one Pumpkin Moon run while not even doing that perfectly.

About 6-8 plat from one Pirate invasion.

Pigronatas themselves drop money and some loot too that you can sell as you said yourself ..and its easy to make Party Girl happy once Hardmode starts.

So worst case scenario you will get back 50-60% of your money yet you will have stack of bacon for all your boss fighting needs or whatever you want to use that buff for.

In expert and master mode, maybe. But the buff itself is also less effective in those modes because all enemies are stronger. And Pumpkin Moon is an endgame event so by the time you do it you're at about the part of the game where the exquisitely stuffed buff is not that powerful.

Pumpkin Moon ain’t an endgame event. The Lunar Events are. But not the Pumpkin Moon.

Semantics. I consider anything after Plantera endgame but that's as arbitrary as anyone else's definition.

That seems reasonable.

Boy how wrong you are. That buff is actually extremely helpful in Expert and Master mode.
Especially during bosses

As it increases a lot of things not just defense.

Heck i don't go exploring without at least a stack off Seafood Dinner or Lobster Tails. (These two cause easily obtainable high and medium boosts)

Just cause you said so won't change the fact that its not "endgame"

Also i did a test how much i can get from Pigronatas with just 1 platinum before i competely run out.

340 Pigronatas and 12 bacons out of them for just 1 platinum.
So its not as tragic as you make it to be in context of what i said how easily it is to gain a lot of platinum fast.

PS: Party Girl was living in Forest in crowded bunker near Zoologist
90 silver per Pigronata

Discount probably could be further decreased in Hallow and in a secluded housing 2 of her favorite NPCs Wizard and Zoologist.

I find his definition of endgame in Terraria was quite logical. There’s very few bosses, and only a few events left to uncover (although, personally, I would go with Golem as the endgame activated boss thing).

I didn't say it wasn't helpful in higher difficulty modes, just less helpful than in lower ones. It's all about relativity.

And lol, you can't argue against statistics with an anecdote. Your one example where you got lucky and got 12 bacon from only 340 Pigronatas doesn't make them more available to the average player.
