Seafood dinner is overpowered.
It's extremely easy to make with all the useless fish you get, and gives you the best food buff of the whole game.
Oh and for clarification, probably should've stated this at the start, my suggestion is just to lower the buff to plenty satisfied.

ok

And? It gives the best buff for the shortest amount of time.
Rarer versions grant the buff for up to 48 minutes.

This^^

Upwards of 48 minutes for major buffs compared to just 4... Doesn't seem so impressive in that regard.

Again for everyone that complains about OP stuff in a non competitive mainly single player game, JUST DO NOT USE IT....
It also requires you to be fishing in the underground (or another nastier biome), which is a bit of a pain - I usually do all my fishing by the Ocean.

That rarer version is in fact a food item that uses every single golden critter in the game to craft.

It requires any one critter, not ALL of them.

This... changes a lot

They really missed out on not letting us unlock being able to grow more high grade snack foods instead of "Pumpkins!... ♥♥♥♥ it let's nerf this already disappointing pie for 1.4"

Like, there are grapes you can craft into grape juice. So hey let's start growing grapes next to the herbs... Oh grapes only drop from huge bats because ??? (and aren't pumpkins we can grow only able to make

Another reason Starbound shot itself in the face in the name of irritation = immerssion.

"You can grow crops and make great stuff like bannana bread!"
"Cool! That's really convenient and nice to come home to"
"Okay now we're going to ♥♥♥♥ up planting so you need to keep coming back to re-water crops"
"uh...."
"Also now food rots because that's immersive!"
"Please stop"
"Kids assure us petty annoyances in a sci-fi setting where you can control molecules with a hand tool is still super realistic!"

Again though, I can't think of a more stupid "But that food that makes you puke blood and is weaker than nearly every other option is overpowered!" reaction from Subnautica fans.

Alas poor lantern fruit. You were too merely adequate for this sinful world (at least it was mildly rebuffed to not be equal to raw seaweed). Unlike superior melons where the risking of cutting open the walls of your volcano powered sci-fi base with a pocket knife trying to replant them was touted as 'realistic'.

You could slam your ♥♥♥♥ in a car door, and the sort of person who would complain about Seafood in Terraria would call it overpowered if it had less UI windows and mouse inputs than slamming your hand in a car door.

THAT’S WHERE I GOT IT!
Jesus, I’m an idiot.

Jesus Christ, stop whining over a buff that is as easy to aquire as this. Considering how easy it is to grow pumpkins, you will most likely never run out of them to craft pie. It's more than justified that the pumpkin pie only gives the "Plenty Satisfied" buff and 8 minutes is plenty of time to kill a boss. It's sad to see that people literally complain about everything that was changed in some way or another. This community man...

Most fish that can be used are obtained while trying to get quest/rare fish, one snow biome fish quest gave me about 11 seafood dinners worth of fish.

Your "suggestion" should be aimed towards https://twitter.com/relogicgames?lang=en because it's unlikely that the developers visit neither steam or the Terraria forums themselves. It's also unlikely that they'll notice your post there either, as they get thousands. If you personally feel so strongly about this, then a more appropriate course of action is to simply not use the food or play with those that do.
