lemme jut pull up an example from memory,
Last time I checked, you couldn't ride a UFO while drinking ale in Minecraft
I should add both have been influenced by each other throughout their life cycle. Notch added potions in Minecraft for example because he got the idea from Terraria.
we'll say this. minecraft introduced to the world the idea of an open-world sandbox multiplayer world-builder. it was truly revolutionary and should never be discounted. there are many games that have been inspired by it, terraria, starbound, edge of space, roblox, multitudes of other games.
that being said, nobody has ever done and probably ever will do it as well as terraria does it. the content is there, its very well-built, environments and music are great. really everything about terraria is great.
but i think the best part of it is: you buy it once and that is IT. with minecraft, its very easy to sink hundreds of dollars into it with all the dlc, texture packs, skin packs, etc content from the minestore. it even has its own currency. and even with the devs making all that buku money off of people wasting cash on it, they still havent worked out some of the most basic bugs. you can really tell the people behind minecraft only care about money. that's why notch abandoned and sold minecraft. terraria, on the other hand, has never once charged for anything besides the initial purchase of the game, and its content absolutely dwarfs anything minecraft has to offer progression, item, or gear-wise, and the developers sink countless hours into bug squashing. terraria has no currency, no store, no corporate meddling, no nothing. just content made by developers who obviously care about the people who play their game. that is why terraria will always be #1 as far as im concerned. mad respect to the developers.
If you want to troll atleast be creative please.
Actually, the Minecraft World was originally just the same square mileage of Neptune. Which is impressive, but not 93 million miles in one direction impressive. :P
Mind you, it got reduced in size by a lot, but it's still impressively massive.
It's just not as large as Neptune any more.
And yes, Minecraft came out long before Terraria. It just was in Alpha. I should know, I played the ALpha for a 1000 hours before the Nether was added!
Google when the Nether was added, and you'll see exactly how long ago that was. :P
