question about lava fishing

I have the lava proof fishing hook from a crate i got in the underworld. All of a sudden the fish and crates just stopped biting, i've been sitting here for 30 minutes with nothing biting...im using master bait, and a few other slightly wraker baits and the mechanics fishing rod and the lava pool is definitely big enough, because it's the same pool i caught my crate here...am i doing something wrong or is it always THIS slow and tedious?

Yes it is equipped and i said in the initial post that the pool was definitely big enough because i caught my crate in that exact pool...i just want to fish for the lava charm lol

You catch in lava without the hook if you use lava critters.
With the hook, you use normal critters and bait.

Make sure to use sonar potions because its very easy to miss catching stuff, so it may look like you're not catching anything

I...i know lol i was intially using just lava critters, but then i got the lavaproof hook, equipped that and im now using master bait and a few slightly weaker baits, but nothing is biting for some reason

Make sure your hook is on the surface of the lava, and not just below the surface. Sometimes it gets stuck just below the surface. When this happens, the game won't go through the catch process where it alerts you to bites and lets you catch things. When this happens, just reset your hook.

I've noticed the same thing happening.
Just re-cast your line and it should fix itself.

Ah ok, they may wanna try to fix that in yhe next patch if possible lol that would probably be why...i'll keep a closer eye on my hook then, thanks
