Sparkling cobwebs in terraria

I found These Sparkling cobwebs under my base, what does this mean?

They stopped sparkling after about 5 minutes

You probably have a dangersense potion buff. It makes most hazards visible in a red hue, but spider webs are different; they make the sparkling effect you're seeing.

Was going to explain, but he already did.

They stack with, and are used for the exact same things as, normal cobwebs. Because that is what they are. Dangersense Potions are incredibly useful if you need to find Spider nests quickly.
