Painted bricks don't work?
So I have paint in my inventory, and and each time I place the stone brick it uses my paint. However the block is still a grey brick with no color change. weirder still is that it shows painted on the minimap! Can anyone help me?

Update: It seems if I paint a red brick it actually works... wtf...

You need to remember that some base colours are barely affected by paint.
Painting a yellow brick blue will make it green. But painting a blue brick will show little difference.
Same thing goes for most white > black colours.

However, it is clear that the grey bricks have no color whatsoever. Gonna test if it's the same for mine. Is it only red color and only when using the spray tool thingy?

You can't paint most of the grey items at all.

I think you are supposed to use "deep paint" and not the regular one because the deep one should be more vivid. If im not mistaken you need 2 regular paint of the same colour to craft it.

i know this thread is old, but im having the same problem. deep paint works on grey brick, but the purple is too vibrant and dark for the purpose i want. they really should allow lighter colours to be painted on grey stone.
