Fishing Help
The Angler gave me a quest to find a pengfish, however the only snow biome on the map is corrupted by crimson (on the surface) is there anything I can do?

EDIT: I feel I should clarify this, every source of water in the snow biome is red and only produces crimson fish, this does not apply to the underground sections of my world but you cannot get pengfish underground.

It will still count as a snow biome, I believe. You just also will be catching corruption/crimson fish. So you should still be good to catch the quest fish.

It doesn't as far as I've tested it. Maybe it should count, but it doesn't.

@TE: If there's a mechanic, you can create an artifical lake with Pumps: https://terraria.gamepedia.com/Pumps. Else you can go for Wet Bombs to be found in Obsidian/Hellstone Crates.

But's I'ld recommand just skipping those fish until you've killed the first mechanical boss and got access to a Clentaminator. No fish in the world is worth the trouble.

Do you mean to dig a huge hole in the ground (preferably in the forest so it doesn't get corrupted), then fill it with water?

He's wrong, but only in the sense that he didn't go far enough.

1.4 changed the requirement for a Tundra biome to 1500 blocks of snow/ice.

The issue here is that I can't find sources of water in the snow biome which have not been corrupted by crimson, I also tried creating a new one but the water was red

It doesn't matter if the water is red. it can be a crimson biome as long as it is an ice biome aswell it counts for the fish.

You may have to do it the hard way then. Lots of buckets of water is one option... tedious but they are easy to make lol
Is it possible to have snow biomes on floating islands? I'm asking since I read that they don't get corrupted until I get into Hard mode
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
