How to get a Crimson Mimic to spawn in a corruption world?

I'm trying to complete the bestiary and I can't seem to get one to spawn. I've even imported some crimstone from a world that has crimson and built a mini crimson biome on the surface, but the mimic still turned out as a corrupt mimic. I then took the clentaminator and crimsoned a small area in the underground, but same thing. It was a corrput mimic, not a crimson one.

you have to create crismon biome, i think the steampunker sell you corrupted/crismon seed during bloodmoon , you will need 200 crismon block to make a biome

No, the only way to get crimson in a corruption world is by putting a Dryad in a graveyard. She'll sell the seeds of the opposite world evil under these conditions.

Ok, but more specifically what do I have to do? I've already said I've created a crimson biome both above and below ground, so none of this helps. Is the biome supposed to be bigger? Do I just need to clentaminate more? Other than that, I have no idea what hte problem is. Also, 200 blocks? Isn't enough blocks to get the background to change enough?

Background is one step, music another. But needs a lot for enemies.

Also, Crimson mimics shouldn't be in your Bestiary right?

You can't have a crimson mimic in a corruption world. The type of mimic is decided on world gen. No amount of crimson will spawn one.

That said, I think you shouldn't need it for the Bestiarys completion? Unless it's another thing they forgot about in the patch.

All corruption and crimson enemy types are in the bestiary because all of them can appear in any world now with the change to the dryads inventory (She now can sell seeds of the World Evil opposite to the save's main evil when in a graveyard biome.)

More blocks I think; I always go to 400. Also the spawning floor that you wish the enemies to appear on must now be made of the appropriate block type for enemies of that type to spawn on it: EG: If you want crimson enemies, the spawning floor must be made of crimtane blocks/crimsand/etc.

The problem with the "Key of Night" method to force a Mimic to appear is that it does NOT look at the environment it is spawned in. Instead taking the form of whichever Evil the world has generated with (taken from the World configuration). So just making a miniature biome and use a key won't accomplish much as any summoned mimic will ALWAYS be Corruption in your world.

However as i understand the Mimic can still spawn naturally in the relevant underground biome. Which means that if you want to get its entry without altering the world itself via an Editor you will need to make a sizeable underground Crimson Biome and start praying to the RNG gods that they deem you worthy of having the Crimson Mimic spawn within it.

Not quite right. Crimson mimics should be able to spawn naturally in a corruption world with a large enough crimson biome- However you cannot ever spawn a crimson mimic with a key of night in a Corruption world- Mimics spawned with a key are -always- the same kind of evil as the world's original evil.

Yep everything except getting c/c biome chest and decay chamber / cloning vat.

Those are the 2 things that are world evil seed specific.

This is not true, I got one spawning in my world and lost a hardcore world because this was the first thing that appeared on google
