is master mode and expert even worth it?

I tried it and looked up some of the loot but it just seems you rather just play classic first and then do the other diffs with the maxed out health and gear from classic. Its so hard and idk if the loot is even worth it from raw. The challange is nice and all but it feels like i am play on nightmare its os hard. I am not gonna play it anymore idc about the lott anymore that is so hard its not funny.

Just my opinion,but the loot and rewards are better in expert upwards, the challenge is more fun and the appearance of rare monsters from pinky upwards are more common

Play normal mode first to learn the game. Expert mode is fun because the game is more challenging and it expects you to use the tools that the game gives you more an encourages it by buffing defense, banners, expert mode boss items, et cetera.

Skip master mode, master mode sucks.

expert mode yes, the only good thing about master mode is really the statues for deafeting the boss

Expert mode is a good challenge plus you get some extra unique rewards upon defeating bosses

I haven't touched Master mode yet but from what I hear it's just tanky enemies (3x normal hp), cool relics and pets so play this if you're a masochist I guess

I would play master mode to prolong beating the game to quickly which sadly i still did and moving into another...

I would almost call master mode the "Dark Souls" mode of Terraria as it rewards people who know the patterns of all bosses well and can basically dodge any normal monsters attacks. It also rewards players who know how to utilize accessory buffs, weapon modifiers and potion buffs efficiently as those are great boons to killing a boss within an allotted time frame.

Though I say this, I didn't find master mode that much of a challenge up until I hit the later parts of the game as I'm not accustomed to the post-golem bosses and events. I'm sure people who have played more and longer than I have probably find this mode actually too straightfoward and "easy" since it just pads numbers to have longer fights that they are used to. I'd say master mode is just a challenge to those who don't know or haven't played a lot of Terraria (I'm talking about 1000+ hours here).

Well if you don't have anything better to play go for it. Master is just expert with more numbers as others have said, expert only adds like a handful of changes to a handful of bosses, so they're both pretty artificial

I have a relationship of love-hate with expert mode.

Was fun. Then I had to farm the Queen Bee. There was not fun anymore.

Maybe I will try again in Journey with Expert Difficulty.

And I'm not even considering to try Master mode.

You have 65 hours of gameplay. you haven't got a hang of the full game yet probably. Play the game untill you know your way around everything then go to harder modes.

I could start playing any game now. play it for a bit, and then play the hard/extreme difficulty and start complaining about how hard it is. It's not the games fault that you don't like it yet at this point. First git gud then complain
