small, med or large world for singleplayer?
I feel like going from all 3 diffs in small worlds aka classic then expert and then master in small worlds i am thinking med is for like 2 -4 players and large is for 4+ right? seems a lot of land for anything but small and would take forever to do solo but small seems nicer idk thoughts? after i beat it in master mode idk what i am going to do then at that point i think you beat the game for good idk.

Always go for big. Theres more stuff to explore and you generally get more stuff. More biomes and bigger biomes.
At the start is is tedious to travel, but as soon as you get pylons in important spots and a mount or wings in hardmode, it becomes a non-issue.

whats the point of small and med tho?

I was going to do large for that reason cause i was thinking why do small when i can do large and get more ores and stuff

Some people just prefer small worlds.

Smaller worlds are easier to explore. I recommend anyone starting out to either go small or medium. Any larger and the map gets a big too inflated. I prefer big worlds, but it's objectively easier to get around in a small one.

Id go for Medium. I made a large master world and regret it. Things are to far apart, Dungeon is oversized and getting back to hell sucks, takes so long to fall down there.

small is maybe for people who can only play once a week or so, a big part of time would go away from traveling

Medium. I don't really know what small worlds are for, but medium is always enough for single player. Map gen works much better for medium this patch as well.

Medium is nice for single player, I do large now due to pylons.

Large is because I do buildings once in a while, lots of space to do a town or very decorative houses.

For beginners small world.
Medium for experienced players.
Large worlds are not for single player. (just my oppinion).

large worlds if you're hosting a server or a multiplayer game. small if you want to have no ores medium is my fave cuz you can build a lot, yet also find ores and complete the game the fastest.:steambored:

Small. You'll find everything there you need, just more compact. It will save you hours of travelling. Only exception: you are going for an odd build on master difficulty and need more time (i.e. a longer horizontal trail) to fight off the Wall Of Flesh.

I have thought about this a lot over the years, I always play large, and expert/master. Large can be both easier and harder, its harder to start with because on expert master it is very hard to survive crossing certain biomes at the start of the game which I feel makes it harder, it also takes longer to dig down to cavern which again makes it harder, but, once you are in mid game you could argue that its easier as there are more chests on a large world than a small so you have more chance to get all items. Thats my thinking anyway. I always go large just because it feels a decent size, not because of the harder/easier arguement.
Ultimately it doesnt really matter but for multiplayer small may be a bit to easy

Small for single player or with 1 extra person.
Medium also for single player or with up to 3 people.
Large for multiplayer or if you need a lot of space.
