tModLoader doesn't work for Macbook Pro

okay so I'm entirely new to modding for terraria and I've been trying to download tmodloader for like an hour now and everytime I try to run the loader it gives me the message:

An error occurred while trying to update Terraria (unknown error)

Vanilla works absolutely fine I'm on the most recent Mac update and it's just tmodloader that won't work. I'm dying to play Thorium! Please help!

true that I need a gaming pc so bad the overheating drives me insane
got the mod loader to work though thankfully but can only run two mods at a time

Im having the same problem and dont understand how to install, any tips of how to install tmod loader?

If you hold off just a bit longer, tModLoader is in the official 1.4 update coming out soon as a free DLC it's waaaay easier then the process I went through trust me it crashed on me a bunch so I'm sticking it out till the update in a couple weeks
