Does hallow desert count as hallow in NPC preferences?

As title says I want to build a house on hallow biome for npcs that like it and I am not sure if hallow desert counts or it has to be on grass hallow

I think the biome is indicated by the background and is simply based on the number of associated blocks, no matter what block they are.
