Flower boots?

So, Are these boots useless? Ive spent the past 2 days farming this damn item to the point ive pretty much dug out my entire jungle only to find that the Flower Boots flowers do not spawn critters... What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ nerf that is x.x

Take off the boots(or switch them to the social slot) before breaking the flowers, the boots nerf how many critters spawn from breaking grass. Also yes, it is an idiotic nerf, for no reason(one that doesn't work because of the aforementioned work around).
