Now with that out of the way, let's get the basics out.Is your health at 400?Do you have helpful accessories and armour?
For the boss itself, aside of building a large-ass platform to help you not fall into lava, there's really not much to say.Dodge stuff.
Get your health as high as you can get it from crystals. Get some variation of hermes boots so you can run more quickly (mine cart isn't a good option since you can't evade attacks easily). Figure out your weapon of choice, with ranged/magic being slightly better of an option. Having the best tier of equipment available pre-hardmode is suggested as you will be looking at an immediate difficulty spike once you kill WoF. Start the fight on one side and make your way to the other side while trying to kill it.
lighting boots,
Armoured radars,
Tiger climbing gear,
Magna skull,
Gladius sword,
Death bringer pick
Platinum bow
Health is 360
Mana is 200
i have a semi large platform but everything is hitting so hard in hell im being destoryed withing a few hits. Thanks for the help :)
Since you have the Crimson pickaxe, you can actually mine hellstone, just not stand on it. I personally go through the buildings and mine hellstone as far as I can (since it turns into lava once mined). With enough hellstone and obsidian you can skip the rest of the equipment tiers for normal mode. I'd still reccomend hitting the dungeon as there's a lot of stuff in there you'll want, Cobalt Shield being the biggest.
I'd also drop the climbing gear for a different accessory like the band of regeneration. With your lightning boots you can slow your descent before you hit the ground.
Other than that, go for ranged attacks. Preferably ones that deal AoE damage or pierce as those can kill the minions as well as damage the whole.
And as mentioned, start out towards one end of the entire world so you have plenty of room to move. Make a bridge to run at so you don't have to focus on your surroundings as you back away and shoot.
As for some advice on how to get it done, and make it easier on you, here's what I'd suggest:
Terraform the underworld to better suit the fight. You have time to do so, why not do it? If you cannot afford obsidian platforms or planter boxes (yes those work as well), then use just dirt or stone, but make sure you poke holes periodically for lava to spill through, and make it as flat as possible. Remove large sections of buildings in the way. Navigating buildings in a panic will get you killed.
Terraspark boots are hard to come by, but can really help you. If you can't get them though, lava waders are good too. Likely though, it's the lava waders that you can't find. If that's the case, you can replace that with water walking potions and obsidian skin potions, and make sure you keep them up for the duration of the fight. Remember your buff keybind.
Speaking of buff potions, do not forget all your buff potions. Iron skin, endurance, magic power, magic regeneration, regeneration, movement speed, etc. Anything that can help you move quickly, and fight better. Bring it. Food too, the best you got. The buff keybind is your friend, and it won't waste your stuff to spam it either. It will only use what you need when you need it.
For armor, it depends. In the video, I was wearing Jungle Armor, we had another guy in Hellstone, and another guy in Bone Armor. The important thing is to try to keep your distance for as long as possible and do your damage fast. It will speed up as it takes damage, and you want as much breathing room as you can get. The lasers juggle you, but are probably the least damaging thing in the fight. They just slow you down.
For weapons, if you are on normal, just about any non-melee weapon will do. If you are on Expert or beyond, the biters will respawn. This means you need something that pierces or you won't ever hit the wall. If you use a minishark, this means you probably need meteor shot. I used demon scythe which I got from farming demons in the underworld. You can also use Jester Arrows, or the Star Cannon if you want. Going melee is not recommended on this boss. You will not be able to face the boss to deal damage and run away at the same time effectively, and not take massive damage.
Bees.
That covers the weapon choice. Comments above have done a good job on explaining the other things you should do before preparing. Eg hellstone armor and verylong platform
Once you get crimson armor and dungeon weapons, queen bee becomes relatively easy to farm. Honeyed goggles are a 5% drop, so it shouldn't take too long.
Before you beat the wall though, I would recommend going into the underground desert and finding a statue of Bast. It gives extra defence when placed nearby and can be good for getting that extra edge on bosses.
