Meteorite Is Now Worthless

Gating it past the boss at least I could see following the consistent dev logic of "We deeply hate all piercing weapons and wish we never gave you them", but they knew there would be riots if they "buffed (now with less/no pierce)" the space gun like they did other stuff.

But making it explosive proof just feels petty, and turns it into a boring chore. A boredom which is only proved every time people roll in to say "But if I equip a bunch of mining buffs and-" with zero self awareness.

Or make cartoonish comparisons like "Nobody ever complains about other, later tier, far more powerful explosion proof blocks! It's totally the same thing!"

what hours, dummy? you can get reaver shark first night no problem
and that analogy with molten armour mage. tf are you even talking about? you can mine meteorite with reaver shark if you so want, and reaver shark used to make early game mining so much more bearable

Oh no I have to mine ores in Terraria I totally didn´t get a game about exploring a world consisting of 80% underground mostly by MINING to MINE anything that´s so lame.

because mining in hardmode is different from mining in the early game, have you even played it?

That doesn´t make it any less essential for the game? And yes I have played it quite a bit.

Thanks DEVS for splitting the community. These changes wer not needed after 5 YEARS. Your pushing the older players away(whitch i feel is intended to get more sales since otherworld failed) all because we wer not playing by YOUR RULES. This game is dead to many of us now. GOOD JOB.

It's funny how small mod developer teams have achieved way more than this "professional" dev team. Besides, a lot of the "1.4 features" are literally ripped off mods anyway (boss healthbar, bestiary and the cheat menu).

I wouldn't mind buffing meteorite a little tbh. Like who ever got to phaseblade tier to reach a freaking lightsaber.. and its just almost always worse than whatever you were using. But I'd still get meteorite for meteor shot if ranged and magic still wants a space gun at that time. Edit: Also buff phoenix blaster because by the time you are at both meteor and dungeon then you are at hellstone tier weapons too and its already fallen off..

while it's essential, it's a lot more fun: the mining itself is faster, you get much better tools to enhance your movement options, the enemies are more interesting and the stuff you mine matter more than pre-hm ores. do you understand where im coming from now?
