Keep trying. I had to make about 150 worlds before I found one that I was reasonably satisfied with.
Also, after entering hard mode, Crimson spawned on top of an existing crimson biome (or right next to it I guess), and didn't destroy any other biome in the process (except for a part of the underground desert but who really cares about that one. The same for hallow, did not encroach into anything but a forest. It might be the best and easiest to work with world gen I've ever had. If you want a seed, let me know.
