Ocean Pylon not appearing??
I made a little housing area in the eastern Ocean biome in my world. Currently the Angler and the Painter live there, as they prefer the biome. However, for some unknown reason, they are not selling the Ocean Pylon (the painter). The Ocean is INSANELY far from my home base and not having the pylon is driving me insane. I have tried moving more npcs in/different npcs/moving npcs away, to no avail. Does anyone know what to do?! I'm going to die if i have to spend 5 minutes running to the edge of the map.

Try Angler + Stylist. Stylist should sell it. Make sure there are less than 5 NPCs within 120 tiles of that location.

I had Angler+Pirate, and it worked just fine, bought it from Pirate.

I wanted to try that combo, antisocial, but I'm still pre-HM and that's what I got working pre-HM when you don't have access to teleporters.

Golfer+Angler worked for me, Painter prefers Jungle, Golfer prefers Forest, but Golfer is neutral to Ocean and loves the Angler being around.

Seriously this! This thing completely trivializes an Ocean Pylon. First use teleports to an ocean at the end of the map, a second use teleports to the ocean on the other side of the map!

(if you want to know where to find it: underground desert chests )

i mean its useful and if you have it then you dont need the pylon therefore not "trivializing" it

...fair point! (I guess setting up an ocean pylon can save an inventory spot, for what it's worth?)

I moved in the Stylist, along with the Angler and Painter and she was selling the pylon. I think that the painter just doesn't sell the thing.
