Anyone else tired of losing items "randomly" ???

Even if you unbind the stupid "drop held item" key... you FAVORITE the item(s).... still... you'll eventually lose stuff randomly.

For example, i'm extremely annoyed right now because my rare flying piggy bank item is ****ing gone. I just used it maybe 10 min ago, and it's not in my inventory. It was FAVORITED so I have no idea how it could just vanish?!?!

What possible ways are there to lose an item that is flagged as favorite from your inventory?

You can't place it on backdrops by accident. You can't mount it on anything by accident. You can't sell it by accident... and you can't just throw it on the ground by accident.

I'm seriously pissed and I want to know how this happens every so often?

Or accidentally place the piggy inside the piggy ?

Checked the piggy... checked the safe.

Right now the only thing I can think of is I set it on the trash can (which destroys items).... But why in the living ***** does the game allow you to trash favorite items? The entire purpose of that feature is to prevent this sort of thing.

I find it very unlikely I did that considering I've been using it for days without issue.

Or you accidentally right click when holding piggy

If you favorite an item, and pick it up on your cursor, you cannot right click to throw it. The game won't let you. That's one of the benefits of using favorite feature.

The only things I can see the game allows you to do are
a) Destroy the item
b) sell the item

There is no chance I sold it... it's never anywhere near anything I'd have in my inventory and be selling.

There is a chance in haste of using it quickly I somehow placed it on the destroy tile... but I find that very VERY slim chance as I don't believe I've ever accidentally destroyed an item in YEARS of playing this game.

human error is indeed what it is, items don't just disappear. There's literally no way to lose an item that's favourited. And if an item is important to you why would you keep it unfavourited

If your inventory is full while you're holding a favorited item, it'll drop when you close you inventory.
