AFK biome key farms don't work anymore

I made the afk farm at the ocean and the arapaima no longer is attracted to you unless you're in the same body of water as them. Is there a loophole around this ?

Yeah just reposition the farm so it's in the ocean.

I don't have one set up but I'd imagine you'd want it set up so the part you're standing on is now actually in the main body.

I doubt this will work. There would still be blocks in the way, my body wouldn't be in the ocean. Even if I make it in a special way where my body would be in a position where it can touch the ocean the arapaimas would just go the around my traps and go straight for me.

Nah it's doable, you just need the ball trap from the temple is all.

Just have a box platform be submerged with a single block hole? That way nothing can get to you but the water you're in is still connected to the water outside. Just position traps according to where enemies home in on you outside the box.

Edit: Nevermind, just tried it. Enemies need line of sight.

B ~~~~ B
Where B is your jungle brick and the \ / is chiseled it should work

Right now I made a box with the top open to the ocean and one block gap on the the slides and they still can see me

Also, look up 'Luck'. There are factors that can increase the chances of rare things dropping, so you might not need to afk farm for it.

I'm not exactly sure what key you're speaking of. Themed keys for the special dungeon chests I'm pretty sure will drop from any enemy so long as it's killed in the correct area.

yes im talking about the special dungeon chest. But what if they didnt allow bosses to drop biome keys anymore

I suppose there's only one way to find out. It's not noted in the wiki page for keys, so chances are it's still a possibility, as most, if not all of the 1.4 information has been updated into the wiki.
