Buy some bombs and go crazy with them. Should not be too hard to dig some tunnels with them.
After that I just despise the corruption eating the jungle and actually check maps before starting to see if the jungle is saveable
However, this isn't a new thing, and I'm pretty sure some version of it, like jungles straight up not having a surface, could happen even in terraria 1.0
when people finish the plantera they ussualy make it mushroom biome for catching truffle
I was hoping the final update would fix that :/
Anyone can get 2 plat coins in ~10 mins without setting up farms etc, just kill the Queen Bee a few times and sell all the drops. Ofc there are better ways to farm money, but this is quite simple without any preparations and difficulty.
