What counts as corruption/Crimson?
So I am trying to clear out the world of corruption but it always sais 1% even though I used a clementator, cleared out a 100 block radius of a spot and did not go into hardmode. Do you have to get rid of the altars or something?

There's probably one small speck that needs to be cleared out, I'm pretty sure the altars don't count but I could be wrong.

Get a world viewer such as terramap and set it to highlight corrupted and crimson blocks. There's likely a small pocket or a few stray blocks that you've missed.

I had this problem too. I got the idea to trash my stored ebonstone and corrupt seeds I had sitting in my chest. That made the dryad report a perfectly pure world. It appears that storing any corrupt or crimson blocks in your chests counts as the world having corruption/crimson left.

Its actually best to have some crimson and hallow in the world as you can create a floating crimsion/corruption/hallow to farm items from the bosses. if you have blocks surrounding it like glass it will ensure it not being to get out and infest areas, so i reccomend building the "biome bottles" in the sky

Why did you necro this

Best not to ask why.

Because it went unanswered for more than half a year. So now people might quit asking. Get ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Also, I imported an assload (to the tune of about 10k blocks) of pearlstone from another world to see if I could get the dryad to report about the hallow status. It didn't change her report of a perfectly pure world. So it seems that if you want to purify your world, you have to trash the blocks you pull up from the ground, not store them in a chest, BUT it appears you can bring in more from another world and store those for crafting without it messing things up but I have more testing to do on this. It's pretty pointless but it's fun to try and get to the bottom of how stuff works.
