The New Crossover (Rant)

Okay I love myself some new content, but when a game adds content from a free to play game, it doesn't sound like a good idea. You all may have read that Terraria is getting a crossover with the game "Dungeon Defenders 2" I have done a minimal amount of research and this doesn't seem like a good idea whatsoever. The stereotype goes that "Oh free to play games are filled with kids that can't pay for anything!" I mostly disagree with that in the fact that some kids aren't in the correct place to be able to purchase any gift cards or anything. Also not all the people in the free to play community are kids, like TF2 (Team Fortress 2). TF2 has one of the largest communities on steam (Pretty sure) and quite a bit of them are older than 16 from my own experience. As I was saying free to play games are not all bad, but I feel like after watching about three Youtube videos that it was pretty pay2play. I could be totally wrong. Continuing with what I was saying, I think that Terraria and Dungeon Defenders isn't quite the crossover we need. Imagine TF2 and Terraria, The Binding of Isaac and Terraria. I sound like a feminist listing off genders here, but you should get my point. Anyways as a recap I don't think the new crossover will be good.

As a general rule of thumb I ignore anything to do with DunDef 1 or 2, especially 2. An aquaintance of mine bought the multipack and gave me and some friends a copy, only to find that the game was pretty bad. Theres a reason the game is now free.


DunDef 1 wasn't too much better since after a certain mission you NEEDED to play multiplayer preferably with a summoner to have any hope of succeeding.

They are a nifty collaboration though.
One thing I noticed is that Terraria seems to be some kind of God of Death. The 2 crossovers until now were met with the other game's "death".
