Trash Bin History.
Ever shift clicked that brand spanking new moon-lord armor into your slots and realised you just trashed it? Well how about a Trash History. It is a small button next to the trash slot similar to the toggle for accesory visibility and it will open up a screen which shows the last 20 items you have trashed. Just grab whatever you want and it will disapear from the trash and into your inventory. Let me know what you think of this cool Idea.

Shift clicking armor for example.
Shift clicking is trash, not equip. Equip is RIGHT click. And wouldn't someone notice that after the FIRST time?

no, we really wouldn't, I've thrown the pants of every top tier 1.2 and 1.3 armor, because I thought I was putting it on, people aren't perfect, we misclick all the time, this item would need some major tweaking, but it is for the greater good.

As someone who used to play Minecraft before Terraria, I have done alot of shift clicking, sadly in both games:( I think what messes me up is that you shift click from equip slots to your inv, and from you inv into containers, but if you aren't in a chest, it just trashes it.

For example one time I made a new world just to get a few of stacks of wood for a big build. and when I was putting it into my piggy bank, a slime knocked me away from it and before I realised it I shift click trashed 4 stacks of wood instead of shift click storing them.

RIP Giant Deku Tree build.

very few things are so rare and hard to get that you cant just replace them easily. Learn to play and watch what you're doing. The game already has enough handholding.

You can disable it where you don't automatically trash stuff by holding shift if it is that much of a problem.

And how long have you played? Because not only is that false but there are also Items you need to get alot of that takes times, like souls.

Yeah. It is in the options somewhere. I personally trash stuff by mistake so I made it where my own stupidity that causes me to lose crap is not an issue anymore.

Anyway, my point was that the argument for the undo button is weak unless you give an example of a similar game with it. Otherwise, it is sort of like saying "Hey, where is my ak-47 with custom grip and forest camo??" until you realise you are playing mario paint.

I will contest your idea if I don't like it and think it won't work. I bought the game too. Just as you bring up suggestions, I can freely oppose them. Such is life.

This isn't a fight. If anything, this is a massacre.
if I could post a middle finger, I most deffinatly would. Stop trolling the man for having an idea, I wouldn't say anything about your ideas, and the poster of this thread wouldn't either.
Anyways, I think it would be a good idea, maybe an expert item for the moonlord since the gravity globe is awful, and maybe it lets you go back 2 items and you can access the items for 30 seconds, instead of an accessory, maybe a consumable?

Criticism is a necessary evil.
You may not like it. You may despise me for it, but you require it.

Anywho~ An expert item giving you more trash slot space wouldn't be a problem since you earned that space. The problem is that I gurantee more people would complain about it being useless than those that appreciate it.

Remember that this utility is based solely on making mistakes. If someone has themselves put together, it would be a wasted item. Maybe some kind of craftable at the tinker station or buyable from the engineer? A unstackable one time use item that allows you to pull out ONE item (or stack, if you threw them in all at one time) from your last couple binned items for about 1-5 gold (a bargain for endgame armor) would be acceptable, as you have to actually progress and pay for this boon.

If you look at my posts, you would see that I am only against bonus effective FREE inventory spaces. Hell, I would even accept an accessory that routes all items you throw in the trash when you have it equipped to a storage container of your choice.

Accident prone people shouldn't get freebies. Convenience has its own costs.

When OPs arguments boil down to "my mistakes are my own, but screw that noise" and "I am too lazy to change my game settings to prevent this from happening, but will continue to complain about there being no way to prevent this from happening", I felt I had to screw around with the guy at least a little.
Sometimes you have to put on your big boy pants and defend your stance with reason, and not excuses.

You know what I just thought of? So the trash can item is pretty useless, it's just a regular chest. Well what if your items that are trashed go there.

I think they would have to make the recipe a bit more expensive, but yeah, I can see that working. It would have to work like a safe or piggy bank i'd say though, so every player has their own trash storage. Maybe delete excess items if all the slots are full?
