Calamity mod lore items

So yeah calamity mod has these cool lore items the boss drops on its first death, its cool and all that but I just recently got the SCal lore item and been thinking, what does it do?
Like it only says "Place in your inventory", and when placed so, completely any hit kills me and the same message comes as one said by SCal herself when killed by any insta kill means, "Go to hell.". Do I have to do something to spawn something or what? Since its says "Come now, face me."?

All it does is instalkill you. It’s great if you’re trying to no-hit something, but useless otherwise.

Oh good atleast I still don't have a reason to try and fight something strong like SCal herself and try to no-hit it or so.
