Calamity/Thorium mods minimum computer requirements
I've been wanting to try any large mod like Calamity and Thorium ever since I started playing modded Terraria, but the game always runs out of memory before even joining the world. I was able to play Calamity before updates. My computer is 2GB RAM, any way I can play them, if I can at all?

I would reccoment a 2 gig DDR5 or a 4-16 gig DDR4. If you are using a DDR3 type RAM then your computer can run it but it will be very slow.

Remember the number of GB your ram holds tells you nothing. The DDR of the ram determines the speed of the ram.

Although a 2 gid DDR5 doesn't hold as much as a 4-16 gig DDR4. but It runs alot quicker than the DDR4 making it a clear better choice.

2GB is barely enough for late game vanilla, let alone mods. Hell it might not even be enough for vanilla... have you played late game events?

Terraria itself uses 1.7GBs of RAM. You'll need more than 2GB of RAM if you want to even step foot in Calamity/Thorium.

I would say to try modded and If you can't run it, a better processor is what you need. Or ram...

Mine is DDR3 I am sure. But the game always says "Run out of memory" even though the game hasn't used all the memory in my computer.
