Any EZ methods to kill Hallowed Mimics?
Hey I am mostly using ranged bows/magic weapons/yoyos and I need to get a Daedalus Stormbow and combine it with holy arrows so I could defeat The Destroyer (Expert Mode)

Unfortunately, I can't kill Hallowed Mimics... I spawned them 4 and killing mobs on the Hallowed Underground is hard for me so it takes a while to get the key.

I made an arena I saw on YT and saw a lot of methods, non of them worked, so I'd like it if you guys give me your own tips and tricks on how to do it very easily, because I suck.

My gear: Full Adamantite set (ranged bonus) + Potions and buffs + Molten Fury with Jester's arrows + Hel-Fire + Flamelash.

I'm going to farm more soul of light now, I hope to get good tips because I really want to defeat the destroyer already lol.

Thanks in advance!

shield of cthulhu dash can help a lot in dodging it, ultimately you could use the slime mount to cheese it with the invulnerability glitch

You can make a key and spawn it on surface. Or fight him in lava layer. He will ocasionaly fall in lava pools and take a lot of damage.

I haven't really fought the giant biome mimics in a long while (I am waiting for the 1.4 update before I really get back into playing this game)

But from my memory, the mimics have two real attacks, a fast lunge and a high jump.
If you hit a mimic during the lunge, it will stop in it's tracks.

You can't stop a mimic doing the high jump, but it doesn't have great horizontal movement while it's doing the jump (think of kirby or bowsers down special if you've ever played smash bros).

Because of this, I recommend a very fast weapon (travelling merchant sells Gatligator if you are willing to wait for it, angry trappers can drop the uzi, minishark is fairly easy to make but has low damage, star cannon has difficult ammo to get. I'd personally recommend the shadowflame bow or the ice bow) or just a weapon you can consistently hit with.

And I recommend making an arena that is very wide (it doesn't have to be very tall).

Just keep running away from it and keep hitting it constantly. Dash away with SoC if it gets too close

Your results may vary

Oh... Actualy read your post. Well, if you tryed already what i suggested, you may also try to get better gear. Like adamantine repeater and cursed/ichor arrows. Or Phoenix Blaster. This ♥♥♥♥ is realy OP, especially with crystall bullets.

I just kill them with a yoyo, Amarok or Hel-fire should be good enough (Amarok will give Hallowed Mimics one of the few debuffs they are actually susceptible to). Wings will be useful for dodging the horizontal jums while the Shield Of Cthulhu will help with the vertical jumps. You can make an arena above ground with multiple layers and borders so the mimics don't accidentally escape off somewhere but TBH I found more luck defeating them underground where their movement was limited.

That would be a very bad idea. While most of the Mimic's attacks cannot go through blocks, the vertical jump *can* go through blocks and I believe the horizontal lunge can, too, but I could be wrong about that.

In any case, when fighting a biome Mimic, you want as much space to move around in as possible.

Nice I'll definetly try to use that SoC and get a better bow, ty!

As I mentioned I have Hel-Fire it's just too hard to kill him :(
Also good tips, I'll make sure to get frozen wings (I can kill the Ice Golems)
About the underground... I kinda built an arena already lol so yeah.

Thanks I'll try these tips out, Anymore stuff I can do to maximize my level of success?

The Hel-fire is in the damage range you want which was why I mentioned it. You could stick with that if you wanted to and still have a chance, and you already have it so it is more convenient for you. However, I recommend upgrading to an Amarok because it is within that damage range but more importantly it has the Frostburn debuff which is one of only two debuffs Mimics are susceptible to (the other being Suffocation). You can find it as a drop from mobs in the Snow Biome.
