Thanks but I am doing everything solo :3
But from my memory, the mimics have two real attacks, a fast lunge and a high jump.
If you hit a mimic during the lunge, it will stop in it's tracks.
You can't stop a mimic doing the high jump, but it doesn't have great horizontal movement while it's doing the jump (think of kirby or bowsers down special if you've ever played smash bros).
Because of this, I recommend a very fast weapon (travelling merchant sells Gatligator if you are willing to wait for it, angry trappers can drop the uzi, minishark is fairly easy to make but has low damage, star cannon has difficult ammo to get. I'd personally recommend the shadowflame bow or the ice bow) or just a weapon you can consistently hit with.
And I recommend making an arena that is very wide (it doesn't have to be very tall).
Just keep running away from it and keep hitting it constantly. Dash away with SoC if it gets too close
Your results may vary
That would be a very bad idea. While most of the Mimic's attacks cannot go through blocks, the vertical jump *can* go through blocks and I believe the horizontal lunge can, too, but I could be wrong about that.
In any case, when fighting a biome Mimic, you want as much space to move around in as possible.
Nice I'll definetly try to use that SoC and get a better bow, ty!
As I mentioned I have Hel-Fire it's just too hard to kill him :(
Also good tips, I'll make sure to get frozen wings (I can kill the Ice Golems)
About the underground... I kinda built an arena already lol so yeah.
Thanks I'll try these tips out, Anymore stuff I can do to maximize my level of success?
The Hel-fire is in the damage range you want which was why I mentioned it. You could stick with that if you wanted to and still have a chance, and you already have it so it is more convenient for you. However, I recommend upgrading to an Amarok because it is within that damage range but more importantly it has the Frostburn debuff which is one of only two debuffs Mimics are susceptible to (the other being Suffocation). You can find it as a drop from mobs in the Snow Biome.
