Whichever ore you get in your world. It's not like you can choose at the start, you won't know which ores your world will get until it actually happens, which is somewhere around the starting point of Hardmode world. :dirtblock:

I stocked up on fishing crates Pre-Hardmode so I have a decent supply of both. I'm not going to break altars as I am more scared of the spreading Crimson than I probably should be and I don't want to help it out.

Well, goy, let's see.
I find the guaranteed dodge of titanium armour combined with the cross necklace to provide some high survivability, adamanatium has no special, just stats.

Adamantium armour with headgear:
17% increased damage
15% increased critical strike
5% increased movement speed
80 mana
19% mana cost reduction

Titanium armour with headgear:
23% increased damage
13% increased critical strike
6% increased movement speed
100 mana
Set bonus of guaranteed dodging

It's clear titanium is better, goyim. Same with gold and platinum.

The only danger of spreading crimson (besides cleaning it up later) is it can destroy your jungle, go plant some hallowed seeds down the side of your jungle, give it a nice thicc wall of hallow to protect it from the crimson.

I'm going to go with the old 4 block wide tunnel and seal one side with clay method. I used it in my previous playthrough and it worked out perfectly.

As for the armors, I was thinking Titanium as well, but Adamantite has a -19% mana cost which Titanium doesn't have.

I'm more paranoid about the spreading doom than you, goy, you still have to worry about the thorns that crimson spawns, so unless you plan to fill that hole in with wood or another non-corruptable material, start planting hallow seeds early and the hallow will spread a good ways, providing a thicc shielding of life, happiness, shekels, and profitable businesses.

Fixed my post about the mana cost.

Really it doesn't matter. 20%? Just chug mana pots, failing that, go fuzzy magic cuffs.
After getting the supreme helper minion achievement, I wanna stop fishing... I DO! I hate it, it makes me sick, I despise it horribly, but it's a complicated love hate relationship, fishing disgusts me but I love it, I hate it, it cut me down to size, you blinded me with love and yeah it opened up my eyes. I wish I could throw away my golden fishing pole, but if I want half of the potions, I need fishing.

I stated previously that I am going to seal one side with clay so that thorns cannot get past.

But, yeah, I'll probably go Titanium, the reduced mana cost is nice but, as you said, there are ways to combat not having that. Thanks for the advice.

I tried mana regen band, the regen was nice, but I had to stand still for it to really shine.
Fuzzy magic cuffs provides a nice recovery when paired with the spectre hood later on, but for now it will make your mistakes partially forgiven.
When you can, make the fuzzy celestial cuffs. You'll never have to wor- Well... You still have to worry about mana, but you won't have to worry very often.
