Staffs?

This is my first time playing Terraria. Does anyone have any suggested staffs in which are easy for a new character and world to get. No one ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ post about cheats i want to collect and make the materials myself.

What kind of staffs? (plural is staves, btw)

All summoning weapons end in "staff"
ex: Slime Staff, Bee Staff, Raven Staff...

Or do you mean the gem staves, Amethyst, Topaz, Ruby, Diamond, etc.?

uhh, a good starter staff would be a topaz one in my opinion. topaz is slighty harder to find but more powerful.

I mean the latter as in gem staves. Right now I found the wand of sparking, and it is not powerful enough. f

maybe try and go near underworld and try to find a skeleton wear a wizard hat.
Gem robes are also nice. manas flowers just require a single mana potion (Regular not Lesser) and a mana flower (Found in jungle) and they refill your mana with potions automatically.

lol (again) i am a complete noob for i only have 2 hours on this game. Could u tell me h ow to get to the underworld? also where to farm th ese gem robes?

Gem robes are made from silk (Made at loom with cobweb)
and gems, they look shiny but spelunker potions might help if you have any.
And to get to the underworld you just dig until you see demons and hellbats and a lava background. i think the wizard skeleton you kill is called tim, thankfull his hat is 100 percent drop

The underworld is under, all the way under. Dig down until you find demons, helbats, and such. There will also be a sht load of lava, don't die in it. That's the underworld.

Robe Crafting Recipie

• 38 Wood
  
• 24 Iron/Lead Ores
  
• 140 Cobwebs
  
• 5 Torches
  
• 20 Stone

Use 10 wood to create a work bench. Then, craft a furnace with your torches and 5 wood. Afterwards, at the furnace, smelt 8 bars of iron/lead. Use 5 bars to make an anvil. At the anvil, forge a chain. Then, with the chain and 10 wood at the work bench, put together a sawmill. At the sawmill saw up 12 wood to construct a loom. Then, change the 140 cobwebs into silk. The silk can be used to weave a robe together.

Gemmed Robe Crafting Recipie

• 15 Gems
  
• A Robe

Put the gems onto the robe an an anvil.

Robes need a bunch of wood from trees (42 I think), 8 iron/lead bars, (24 ores), 140 cobwebs, 5 torches, 15 (of any) gem, and 20 stone.
Craft a work bench, craft a furnace, craft 8 lead/iron bars, craft an anvil, create a chain, make a sawmill, construct a loom, change cobwebs into silk, then weave a robe together. Then add the gems to your robe. There's your gem robe.
