Can I farm goldfish with a Fish Statue while it rains?

Will walking goldfish be possible to catch even if they came from a statue?

I am aware of that general rule. The reason I am asking is because it used to be possible to catch walking goldfish despite that rule, which you could do with a Fish Statue on land while it is raining. Did they patch that out, or is it still possible?

I'm not sure, I'm looking on the wiki and it has no comments on the issue. The only thing I can think of is to just try it. :/

I can confirm that it does not work. The statue makes a bunch of walking gold fish, but they just dissapear when attempting to catch them with the net.

Now I need to somehow get 15 goldfish, rather than just 10. That is unfortunate :/

the only thing that this kind of thing allows is unlimited statue spawns. the same can also be done with ducks swapping to and from water: they no longer count as the same entity, so more can spawn from the statue. I can see how you've made this link, but I think "catchable" in the goldfish's script, not the statue's, so if keeps that property
