Can't find meteorite.

I got the message "A meteorite has landed" after smashing a shadow orb, but I have looked through my entire world and still can't find it. Any ideas as to where it could be?

Got a screenshot of your map?
They can spawn in corruption chasms, on top of living wood trees, occasionally on floating islands...and if you're really unlucky, halfway down hellevators.

If it’s nowhere on the surface then it definitely landed on a floating island
