If you enjoy the game then play, if u dont play the game only because it losing players and is not as popular as fortnite then maybe you are the reason its dying.

If people still play a game 2 years after you last played it when it has been around for more than that I'd say it's very much alive.

Have people run out of ideas to post memes and artistic nudity in the artwork section? yes thankfully. We'll see if the new patch gives more inspiration.

Are people trolling as much as before? No, because most people actually grew up and the "prankster" are all into free games these days. 9$ is apparently an afront.

Are people posting lots of threads about opening games? Well yeah kinda, it's just that most people are in a discord to find groups now.

Everything eventually comes to an end, I was also one of the people who used to play this game years ago.

I first got it in 2013, played for like 2 or 3 years straight then life got busy, and I only opened it once or twice in the following years. I've recently been getting back into this game though, picking up from where I left off.

This post seems a bit pessimistic, if much older games like Gmod still have a player base then I don't see why Terraria can't. Of course it won't be at it's levels of peak popularity, but there'll still be people playing.

Hey, I was one of those people! 2 years ago there was this group of people known as the forum dwellers on this very forum, and I was a relatively new one by the time we became inactive. We mostly moved to discord, however. Then we sort of became less and less centeralized and sort of split up into a few communities. Some of us still exist on steam, however.

Boy this brings memories.

The devs are working very hard on 1.4, there is a lot to be worked on, so it makes sense that it's taking so long.
