"This is going to be a terrible night"

So I'm playing Terraria with my Friends right now and we are in Hardmode.
The message "This is going to be a terrible night" appeared and we knew that the twins are going to be spawning this night.
But instead of the twins, 2 Eyes of cthulhu spawned.
Is that normal? Thanks for any answers!

The first stage of the twins look like two eyes of Cthulhu, one has a green iris and one has a red

Yeah, but they spawned at different times.
When we killed the first Eye, the second eye appeared a a bit later that night

Did you have mods enabled before? If so it could've maybe messed up the script of the game. Other than that I have no idea how that happened.

No we did not use any mods.

Could you nooot necroooooo. Anyway, they will not spawn if you are underground.
