TEdit Mod Compatibility?
I'm hoping to be able to transfer a build over from a vanilla world to a modded one. I will build it again if I have to, not a big deal, but I'd prefer to copy and paste it using TEdit. Now this question has been asked countless times, but I'd like to ask it again since I haven't found a recent thread.

Also because whenever I backed up my worlds and attempted the transfer, it appeared to work. I read that usually modded blocks will disappear upon using TEdit, but I went over to the Aquatic Depths (Thorium Mod), and the ores and new blocks were there.

So I was just wondering if there was some update for TEdit that minorly supports mods, and if there are any other known side effects that I should be aware of when editing the modded world.

Thanks.

if you're worried, create a copy of the vanilla world and place it in tMod's worlds folder, then enter the copied world in modded and use Cheat Sheet's eye-dropper to copy the build, the clipboard is preserved between worlds and even - if exported - sessions so you can paste anything from your vanilla world into your modded one.

there are no updates that allow TEdit to work with mods and if you try to edit a moded world then it will delete EVERYTHING moded ores magic storage EVERYTHING

I've used tedit MANY times in modded worlds, nothing is ever lost, even if it is lost, tedit automaitclaly creates a backup of the world you open in tedit, even if the world file gets corrupted, you will have a backup of the exact same world. The only issue i've ever read about was modded ores disappearing, but it's never happened to me. With magic storage and everytihng, I've never once encountered something that would cause my file to get messed up or deleted
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Gotcha, seems like I shouldn't be too worried
