If you don't have Terraria you definitely should buy it because it's a great game - Re-Logic some (more) money so that maybe they will give us a Terraria 2

The Pc version has brought me countless hours of enjoyment, i recommend getting mods if you have already played the game, it opens up infinite possibilities. Mods are straightforward and easy to install just google Tmodloader

I think that they are actually more interested in getting the game out on even more platforms to squeeze even more money out of Terraria by selling the game on more platforms like what the OP asks about (personally I am going to stick with the PC version) , and then of course patching and updating Terraria also since they are still working on it...
