Is terraria dying..? or is already dead..?

ive noticed all youtube/reddit/etc stuff has been outdated by atleast 3 years.. is terraria dying? or is it already dead? I havent noticed any updates either..

also I read somewhere that "moonlord" will be the final boss..and they dont have any thoughts at the moment of making new "final" boss.. T-T

dont be so sad, that dosent mean they will buff or nerf moonlord and add any other bosses

i wouldnt say that vanilla is dying its more of they are finding modded a bit more exciting

Devs made a priority of upgrading the console version at the same as PC (1.3.5.3), but the 1.3.6 should be available on PC (probably in early 2019, no due date have been communicated).

But looks like it make the game better (new animations, new sounds, new backgrounds, etc...), but there is not necessarily new ennemies or bosses.

All hype is gone, but it's type of game where you want to return once in a while.

I mean, is chess game dead? It didn't have major updates for centuries)

Hype is gone but the game isn't dead. It's still a hugely popular game played by a great many of people all over, even though it hasn't recieved an update in a good while.

I came back since like 2014? and I liked how new things were added, but i didnt see any hugely noticeble difference.. Only thing that are new is Moonlord and Fishing? for 4 years.. I agree with others I doubt theyll make any huge updates anymore

the reson you are not seeing updates is cus they are working on 1.3.6

if you want some terraria on youtube/twitch, look up HappyDays he's still doing streams and youtube series very often, and he even has a christmas special running every day up to christmas this year

I don't think the game is dead, I mean just a year or two ago they added the Dungeon Defender 2 crossover, and right now they're working on 1.3.6 on PC, it's just currently they're working on console ports more due to how far behind it was.

I think they lack some creators at the studio, and they have a hard time finding challenges or new stuff, so I think they depend on the modded terraria meanwhile they make updates for the vanilla
