Best armor for mages pre-mechanical bosses

Im a mage and I want to find out the best armor for pre-mechanical bosses

Adamantite or Titanium Mage Set. If you don't like those then there is the Apprentice set that you get from the Tavernkeep

Scratch what I said about the Apprentice set. You should aim for the Dark Artist Set.

Titanium set is a life-saver,that buff you get(Shadow dodge) is post-plantera if im not mistaken,the armor also gives you decent defense.Good luck!

I use the titanium set up past plantera. If you world has adamantite go fishing for crates which can drop titanium until you have 59 bars.
