It slows spread rate to a third of what is was, which is substantial. Either way you don't want the Crimson anywhere near your Jungle, wall it off with the Hallow (which doesn't spread to mud and prevents the Crimson from spreading)
Use light blue solution and the Clentaminator to spread the Hallow around the borders of the Jungle and I mean the entirety of it, including the Underground Jungle, not just the surface (make sure no Crimson gets past it either, a single block can ruin any opportunity you have). The Hallow won't spread into the Jungle itself as it can't convert mud blocks and it will also stop the Crimson from spreading since Pearlstone/sand is completely immune to conversion naturally. You could build a chasm down to the Underworld but it'll need to be pretty wide, it's best to just clentaminate it.
