Is there any way to force rain to occur?

I'm trying to get the bomb is rod, and I can only do so if an angry nimbus comes when it rains, because I have yet to defeat The Destroyer.

Yes, gather 300 units of hay, 5 wooden dummies, and a clothier doll. Sacrifice all of these in an artificial lava-pit while performing the ancient rain dance alongside the witchdoctor. Then seclude yourself in an underground snow base for 5 days and 6 nights. On the 6th day, assuming all preparations were done correctly, rain event shall commence.
