Beetle is better for warrior/melee class. Many noob's praise solar just because it's "EndGame".

Not really, Solar Flare Armour has better stat bonuses than both of the Beetle Armour variants. The only real advantage the Shell has over Solar Flare is the higher maximum damage reduction, but if you're wearing the Shell in the first place you're probably expecting to be hit consistently enough that you'd never have time to build it up. Not to mention the Solar Flare provides a constant 30% damage reduction assuming the shield charges are still active, Beetle can only surpass it by 15% in a very specific instance.
Some underrate the shield dash the armour allows you to perform as well. Movement speed is ultimately the quintessential method of minimising damage you'd incur from bosses and something like the Solar Flare shield allows you do use this dash ability freely without sacrificing an accessory slot for the likes of Master Ninja Gear. Assuming an otherwise unimpressive movement speed (I generally don't use boots past pre-hardmode) it can be decisive in winning faster bosses (say Fishron).

The Beetle Scale Mail actually has a better chance of competing against Solar Flare Armour because of the gradual offensive buffs but the actual general stats and defense are comparitively low enough that I think the situational bonus it provides doesn't really account for the rest of its stats.

No one should ever fear me. I don't destroy anything and I don't force aggression. Sometimes I just chill in people's worlds waiting for greifers to show up so I can kill them..

Inb4 bragger comment. This was a while ago now. Back when I listened to everyone else and used a mount lol. It's much safer without a ball and chain. Dash is life.
