How do you craft a portal to the Nether?

I found diamonds but now i dont know how to craft a pickaxe. Anyone knows how to?

yes but to mine Obsidian you need a diamond pickaxe

You need 2 sticks, you aquire sticks through wooden planks, which is furthermore obtained through the logs given to you by punching trees.

Walk over to a tree using the standard WASD controls, then hold down your LMB (Left mouse button) until the log breaks. After you pick one up, press 'E' to open your inventory. Click on the log with your LMB and drag it over to the crafting inventory, which is the 4 spaces seperate from everything else. Click on the 4 planks that appear, then place 1 plank in each spot to make a crafting table.

Next to the tree, place the crafting table down whilst holding it using RBM (Right mouse button) and break another log. Click on the crafting table using the RBM and place a log in the crafting table. Take the planks, then place two planks ontop of eacher, making a 2 block tall line. Take the sticks from that. With those sticks, place them like you did with the planks, in the middle and bottom middle, leaving space above and to the sides.

Take your diamonds and place them in a straight line on the top, so only 4 spots are left, 2 on the left and 2 on the right, the bottom left, middle left, bottom right, and middle right spaces. Take the pickaxe that came from that and go into a cave. Find obsidian, and mine it. This will take a long time. After gathering ten blocks of obsidian, gather 1 iron ore, 8 cobblestone, and 1 flint. Iron ore is naturally spawning, cobblestone comes from regular stone and dungeons, and flint comes from breaking gravel. After you have all that, return to the surface.

Make a furnace using cobblestone. Place one cobblestone in every slot except the middle in the crafting table. Take that furnace and place it down. Right click on that and add any fuel source. (Wood planks, coal, charcoal, lava bucks, blaze rods, any other wooden item really, wool, carpet, mushroom blocks, kelp blocks, and much more) and put the iron ore on top.

After that is smelted, place the flint and iron anywhere in a crafting table, and take your flint and steel.

Place your obsidian like this, 0 means nothing, 1 means obsidian:

Righ click an inner part of the portal with your flint and steel to activate it, and then enter.
