I can't find a nymph.

I'm getting really mad, I have been searching for 3 days for 1 nymph for a metal detector, no luck. I have a REK 3000 on, water candle, in the jungle near underworld, and using battle potions. I've found 3 tims so far but 0 nymphs. Any suggestions?

if you have the calamity mod, the zerg potion helps. if you activate said potion, it increases spawn rates by 30x

Nymphs spawn underground in the caves, not in the Jungle, nor in the Underworld.

Also, the spawnrate of Nymphs drops to 1/6 of the original rate in Hardmode, so if you're in Hardmode, then it's extremely rare.
