Can't find big bee hives

Ok, but I have just one question.

Have you seen my daddy?

Check the areas in the Jungle that you might not have checked yet (look for black areas in the map). Bee Hives like to be sneaky.
They get generated along with the world generation, so it's regardless whether you are in Hardmode or not.

i had the same issue, there's really no way around it xD you kinda just gotta keep looking around the underground jungle caverns and hope you run into one- you'll find one eventually, though it might take a while

ive checked almost everywhere only thing left is random little holes with jungle spores to light them up.

Well, once I didn't have an ocean... On either side of the map. And another time I didn't have any Snow! So maybe you just don't- have one?
