Best HM mage gear pre-mech

I'd like to know some of the weapons, armor, and/or accessories for mages in hardmode, but before any HM bosses (Includes expert stuff).

the best that i could think of thats easy to get is the magic knifes which are dropped by mimics. it costs low mana, can be used very fast, and it pierces a few enemies

cursed flames and crystal shard tomes are really good. crafted with I believe cursed flames, souls of night, and a spell tome (from the wizard) for the cursed flames tome, and crystal shards, souls of light, and spell time for the crystal shard tome. if you're in a crimson world just replace cursed flames with ichor and you get the ichor shower, which applies ichor to enemies, reducing their defense by 20.

as for armor, titanium/adamantite with the magic helmet (forgot which one it is) is your best bet, although you will want to replace that with hallowed/chlorophyte armor later.

as for accessories, the sorcerer emblem is a no-brainer. the mana regeneration band and celestial cuffs are also useful, along with the mana flower. make sure to leave a slot open for wings, though, and have a megaphone in one of your vanity slots just in case you get the silenced debuff.
