Mana Potion Sickness (which you get when you use Mana Potions) just lowers your Mana Attack Damage by a very, very small amount and DOES NOT affect Healing Potions, meaning you can still drink Healing Potions even with Mana Potion Sickness.
Healing Potion Sickness (which only comes from Healing Potions) doesn't let you consume Healing Potions.
Basically, Mana Potion Sickness does not affect use of Healing Potions.
So you'll be fine using the Mana Flower.
I use it all the time.
