You can easily purify the grass by buying purification powder from the Dryad.
Just destroy all the red things.

Biomes have certain requirements to be counted as an actual biome for the game. In this case it's a certain amount of crimson grass and/or crimstone blocks being near. It'll be tougher dealing with the evils once you enter Hardmode and NPCs will move out of houses that are near the Corruption/Crimson, so keep that all in mind.
